Is reading music a challenge? Tackle it with this one-week intensive sight reading CAMP!

Spend a week learning to read notes, rhythms and patterns. Learning to sight read is an important skill. With once weekly lessons, sight reading can be difficult to address. Sonya Siebert, Program Director

Sonya Siebert teaches piano lessons at her home in Des Moines. But she’s not old or boring. She earned her Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Kansas. She has toured with traveling Broadway shows, including Mamma Mia, Cabaret and Billy Elliot. She has played for productions at the Des Moines Playhouse, Civic Center and with the Des Moines Symphony, and she regularly collaborates with chamber ensembles.

Sonya has performed internationally, but also has a passion for the local education scene, regularly working with theater camps and student recitals. She enjoys playing tennis, going to the lake, and is rated a 10 of 10 on the fun scale at accompanists.com (OK, that last part is made up).
